What a Weekend at Melbourne PPA 250 @rayapickleballclub and @pickle4real

Played in the Men’s 35+ 4.5 with @brendanlee and Mixed 35+ 4.5 with @graciepickle_pb

Thank you for such a great tournament, Brendan and I were unlucky to lose the Bronze medal game. And had a cracking semi final which was probably the best game we had all day and went down in a close match against a couple of nice guys!

In the Mixed doubs Thanks @gmms_007 for such an amazing run! We were unfortunate in the Gold Medal game going down in 3 sets, @ryanmorrispb and his partner were just too good in the end.

Overall thank you to my family for the support over the weekend @leightourmills my boy Ryder who is also playing well himself and taking it to all the players over the weekend hitting around!
And to all my family from VIC that came and supported me it was greatly appreciated:)

Looking forward to the next one ☝️

Well what a weekend it was in Brisbane for the Allstars Rounds and the River City Classic. Not only a hell lot of pickleball being played with rain delays ontop of this made for extremely long days! ALLSTARS, WOW our team had an absolute cracker of a weekend winning all 3 rounds 4-0! Thank you to our super sub Vicki Beaver who played amazing. Also to our amazing Captain Emma Perrin-Jones! Let’s Gooo Warriors and also a big thank you to our sponsors @pkfsydnewc and @bsquaredlending Then onto the tournament I had the pleasure playing with Piers in both 35+ & open men’s Doubles. We had an extremely tough draw in the 35+ just missing out on the finals. Opens we made it through and losing semi to the eventual winners and taking out the Bronze.
In the Mixed event I had the absolute pleasure playing with @simonekessell making the final in 35+ but going down to @angegreeen & Jarrod who played absolutely clinical! We then had the chance to have a rematch in the bronze medal in the Opens against them, changing our game plan we were able to get the win. Was also amazing to share this experience with my family with my wife @leightourmills getting Bronze in her gender event and my little man Ryder getting silver in the 18u boys event! He was also extremely lucky to take the court with @simonekessell & @cocolococo002 who gave him a few great tips and drilled him! Thank you Coco your a legend :)
Over all there was some absolute amazing pickleball all weekend, and was also a pleasure to have spent time with so many amazing people! I’m lucky to have met so many new people that would bot have happened without pickleball.

A great 2nd day at River City Classic Brisbane. Great games and great people. Leigh and myself both come away with a Bronze each. We couldn’t let Ryder be the only medal winner 😂. Let’s see what tomorrow brings. 💪

Well what can I say!? Super proud mum and dad witnessing our little man Ryder playing his first Junior Sanctioned tournament up in Brisbane at the River City Classic. Getting a late call up to fill in a spot, here he is at 11 playing against 15, 16 & 17 yr olds! He played the eventual winner in his first match losing 15/8 smashing all the other players including a 17yr old, and then giving the winner a scare in the final with a 11-9 8-11 5-11 loss in the final! The final was an absolute cracker! The rallies the shots and sportsmanship was an absolute pleasure to watch! Super proud of him 😊 look out pickleball world here he comes!! 💪🥒
